The Crystals are an American vocal group formed in 1961 in Philadelphia. Initially active until 1967, they reunited in 1971. The current members include Delores "Dee Dee" Kennibrew, who has been with the group since its inception, Melissa "MelSoulTree" Grant, a member since 2002, and Patricia Pritchett-Lewis, who joined in 2005. Throughout their history, The Crystals have seen various members come and go. Former members include Barbara Alston, Mary Thomas, Patricia "Pat" Wright, Merna Girard, Dolores "La La" Brooks, Frances Collins, Peggi Blu, Louise Bethune, Jan Sonora, Neenee Sonora, Lisa Fischer, Darlene Davis, Gretchen Gale, Marilyn Ali, and Marcella Matthews. Despite the changes in lineup, The Crystals have maintained their presence in the music industry over the decades.
