The Cues were a vocal group hailing from Manhattan, NY, consisting of members Jimmy Breedlove, Ollie Jones, Eddie Barnes, Robie Kirk, and Abel Da Costa (1929-1985). A pianist and arranger brought the group to a record label to fulfill the backing vocal needs for the label's star recordings. As they recorded with various stars, The Cues adopted different names for each session. Ironically, they never recorded as a main act under their own name.
