The Dantes were a prominent band based in Columbus, Ohio, active from 1964 to 1968. They gained popularity as top draws at various teen clubs throughout mid-Ohio and had the opportunity to open for several national touring acts. Initially starting as a British-influenced garage band, they were particularly inspired by the Rolling Stones, often performing a full set of their songs at gigs. The Dantes recorded three 45s during their time together.
