The Darlettes were a female soul trio from Washington D.C., formed in the mid-60s by Francine Hurd and two other members. They debuted at a subsidiary of a Los Angeles label, releasing their first single, which was produced and written by an unnamed individual. After this initial release, they changed their name and signed a contract in 1965 with another unnamed entity. .
