The Dedications, also known as The Soul Survivors, were formed in the early 1960s by brothers Charles and Richard Ingui, along with Kenny Jerimiah, Chuck Trois, Paul Venturini, and Joseph Forgeon. The group gained significant recognition when they changed their name to Soul Survivors and achieved a massive hit in 1967 with "Expressway To Your Heart." This song was an early collaboration with the emerging songwriting and producing duo Gamble & Huff from Philadelphia.
