The Deejays were a British beat group active from 1962 to 1968. Founded in London, the group embarked on a two-month tour in Sweden in 1963 as part of an artist exchange with The Spotnicks, which unexpectedly extended to five years. During this time, the drummer left to join The Spotnicks and was replaced by Erle Morgan. The vocalist returned to England in 1964 to be with his wife and child, leading to John Murray joining the group. They later shortened their name to The Deejays. In 1966, Murray also returned to the UK and was succeeded by Clive Sarstedt. The lineup included guitarist Pete Chapman/Clinton and Buzz Nelson on bass.
