**Bio: The Delmonicos** The Delmonicos were formed in the late 1950s by five young men from East Harlem, New York: John Martin, Gary Knight, Nick DiBona, Victor Rodriguez, and Joe Cariati. In 1959, John Martin came up with the group's name, and they began performing at local clubs and dances, hoping for a big break. That opportunity arrived in 1963 when they recorded "There They Go" b/w "You Can Call" for the small Aku Label. However, with the onset of the British invasion in 1964, the Delmonicos decided to retire. In 1966, Joe Cariati and Victor Rodriguez, along with new members, attempted a comeback by recording "We Can Find Love" for Johnny Nash’s Joda Label. Unfortunately, the label went bankrupt, forcing the group into retirement once more. The Delmonicos reformed in 1989, releasing one single and an album with members Gary Knight, Nick DiBona, Joe Cariati, Bobby Castalano, and Manny Giz.
