The Diplomats, also known as Dipset, are an American hip hop group formed in the summer of 1997 in Harlem, New York City, by childhood friends Cam'ron, Jim Jones, and Digga. Initially starting as a street clique, they played a significant role in supporting Cam'ron's burgeoning career. Freekey Zekey was later added to the group by Jim Jones. By 1999, the group expanded to include 17-year-old rapper Juelz Santana, solidifying their lineup as Cam'ron, Juelz Santana, Jim Jones, and Freekey Zekey. Their debut album, "Diplomatic Immunity," was released in March 2003. During this time, Cam'ron introduced Hell Rell and JR Writer to the group, mentoring them in their early careers. Although Hell Rell was arrested just before the release of "Diplomatic Immunity," he later joined the group along with JR Writer and 40 Cal for their second album, "Diplomatic Immunity 2." The Diplomats have a vast family tree, consisting of the "A-Team" (Cam'ron, Juelz Santana, Jim Jones, Freekey Zekey), "B-Team" (Hell Rell, JR Writer, 40 Cal, Jha Jha), "C-Team" (A-Mafia, Un Kasa, Katt Williams), and various associates (Tito Green, James), alongside deeper connections
