They disbanded around 1982 but initially started as a Glam Rock band called Rockslide in 1974, releasing a single in October 1975. The band reformed in 1996 for the Holidays In The Sun Festival, followed by performances in Japan and the USA. M.J. Drone, whose real name was Mike Howells, passed away on January 10, 2013. The classic line-up from 1976 to 1979 included M.J. Drone on vocals and guitar, Gus Gangrene on lead guitar, Whispa on bass, and Pete Purrfect on drums.
