The Du Vons were a US vocal group hailing from San Bernardino, California, formed in May 1960. The members included Jerry Jackson (Lead), Leonard Siders, Steve Parker, Gilbert Chavez, and Bill Bridges, all students at Pacific High School. Jerry Jackson, who had previously led a group called "Jerry Lee & The Jesters," met Leonard Siders shortly after moving to California from Kentucky. In 1961, while attending Pacific High School, they joined forces with the other members to create The Du Vons. Their debut record, "Write Me A Letter" b/w "Come Back Baby, Come Back," was released in January 1961, with both songs written by Jerry Jackson, who also played his own music. The group's name was changed to The Du Vons by their manager, George Babcock, a popular radio disc jockey.
