The Dynells were a female soul group from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, active in the 1960s. The group consisted of Brenda McGregor (lead vocals), Delores McGregor, and Shirley Cook. Brenda McGregor, the front woman, later joined The Vonettes but tragically passed away at the young age of 25. The Dynells are one of many girl groups that have been overlooked in music history, and their backing band was sometimes uncredited.
