The Embers are a renowned band from North Carolina, credited with originating the Beach Music genre. Established in 1958, they have solidified their status as a musical institution, leaving a lasting impact on listeners for decades. The Embers have released numerous albums and singles, showcasing exceptional showmanship, musicianship, and professionalism. They have been inducted into both the South Carolina Rhythm and Blues Hall of Fame and the South Carolina Beach Music Hall of Fame, proudly serving as North Carolina’s Official Ambassadors of Music. Their performances have spanned the country and the world, entertaining audiences at various events, from high-profile dignitaries to backyard parties. Notably, they performed their Christmas special, “Christmas with the Embers,” on American military bases in South Korea for U.S. troops in 2007 and 2008, earning Military Coins of Excellence for their distinguished service. The Embers are recognized as a musical marvel and have laid the groundwork for Beach Music across the Carolinas, Virginias, and the Gulf Coast. They describe Beach Music as “music with a memory,” creating lasting memories for their fans. Currently, The Embers tour extensively, averaging 225 shows per year, and host an annual cruise for their friends and fans in the Caribbean. They also continue their tradition of Christmas shows, celebrating their 8th consecutive season this year.
