The Exciters were an American Pop/Soul vocal quartet hailing from Jamaica, Queens, NYC. Originally formed in 1960, they were active until 1974. The group is best known for their hit single "Tell Him," which reached #4 on the US charts in January 1963. The members of The Exciters included Brenda Reid, Herbert Rooney, Carolyn "Carol" Johnson, and Lillian Walker.
