The Feelies are a rock band hailing from Haledon, New Jersey, formed in 1976. They disbanded in 1992 but reunited in 2008. In the 1980s, they frequently performed at Maxwell's, a live music venue and bar/restaurant in Hoboken, New Jersey. In 1987, The Feelies played gigs around New York and Hoboken under a different name, fronted by percussionist Dave Weckerman, who also sang lead. The lineup included the same members as The Feelies, along with John Baumgartner on keyboards. During this time, all Feelies members also played as another band with the addition of Elbrus Kelemet, John Baumgartner, Toni Baumgartner, and Marc Francia. Additionally, Brenda Sauter and Stanley Demeski were involved with another related band.
