The Feelies are a rock band hailing from Haledon, New Jersey, formed in 1976. They disbanded in 1992 but reunited in 2008. In the 1980s, they frequently performed at Maxwell's, a live music venue and bar/restaurant in Hoboken, New Jersey. In 1987, The Feelies played gigs around New York and Hoboken under a different name, fronted by percussionist Dave Weckerman, who also sang lead. The lineup for this project included the same members as The Feelies, with John Baumgartner on keyboards. During this time, all members of The Feelies also played in another band with Elbrus Kelemet, John Baumgartner, Toni Baumgartner, and Marc Francia. Additionally, Brenda Sauter and Stanley Demeski were part of a related band.
