The Fiestas were a soul group from Newark, New Jersey, formed in 1958. The original lineup included Tommy Bullock (lead vocals), Eddie Morris (first tenor), Sam Ingalls (baritone vocals), and Preston Lane (bass vocals). They achieved their biggest hit with "So Fine," which charted in 1959. The song was credited to an unspecified writer, but a lawsuit arose from a lawyer claiming copyright for a version recorded in 1955 by The Sheiks, a group that included an unnamed member who is sometimes credited with writing the song. The Sheiks' side won the case, resulting in a significant financial penalty for The Fiestas. Between 1960 and 1962, the group experienced several lineup changes, recruiting new members in 1960 and 1961. The Fiestas parted ways with their label in 1965. Tommy Bullock left the group in 1962 to pursue solo singles and collaborated with another unnamed artist as the duo in 1966. The Fiestas released their last single in 1978.
