The Fifth Dimension is a US pop and soul vocal harmony group that was founded in the mid-1960s. They achieved worldwide success with their hit song "Up-Up And Away," which sold over 5 million copies between 1967 and 1968, while its parent album sold more than 1 million copies during the same period. In 1968, the group set a sensational record by winning five Grammy Awards, including Best Song of the Year for "Up-Up And Away," Best Vocal Group, Best Contemporary Album, Album of the Year, and Best Contemporary Group. The Fifth Dimension recorded for several labels until the late 1970s and underwent multiple line-up changes over the years. They were inducted into the Vocal Group Hall of Fame in 2002.
