The Flirtations were a US American soul group formed in the early 1960s in South Carolina, originally established in 1962 in Alabama. The group consisted of three vocalists: Ernestine Pearce, Shirley Pearce, and Viola "Vie" Billups (also known as Pearly Gates). In 1968, they relocated to the UK, where they signed with Decca Records. During their time there, they recorded one LP in 1969 and released six singles through the Deram imprint from 1968 to 1971. The Flirtations later released a 1975 album on RCA and had reunion albums. Other members of the group included Betty Pearce, Lestine Johnson, and Loretta Noble.
