The Fluid was a garage/indie rock band formed in 1984 in Denver, Colorado, USA. They played their first gig as The Fluid on July 5, 1985, at the German House (Denver Turnverein). The band disbanded in late 1993 but reconvened in June 2008, performing a series of live dates in 2009. After this period, The Fluid disbanded again. Tragically, guitarist Rick Kulwicki passed away on February 15, 2011, at the age of 49. In March 2011 and again in January 2012, The Fluid participated in fundraiser shows for Kulwicki's twin sons.
