The Folklords were a folk psych band from Toronto, Ontario, known for their rare LP "Release the Sunshine," released in 1968 on Allied Records No. 11. The band consisted of Tom Martin on bass and vocals, Paul Seip on guitar and vocals, Martha Johnson on autoharp and vocals, and Craig Boswell, who filled in on drums. The story goes that the owner of Allied Records, Jack Boswell, had the studio booked but was left without a drummer when the original one did not show up. To avoid wasting studio time, he recruited his 12-year-old son Craig to play drums. The album was produced by Jack Boswell and Bill Bessey, with photography by Jack Umpleby.
