The Force Dimension is a Dutch electronic act that began as a trio in 1987, consisting of Rene van Dijck (keyboards), Tycho de Groot (vocals & electronics), and Armin Elmensdorp (effects). Their early work led to a collaboration with the industrial label De Fabriek, and by 1988, they appeared on several compilations, gradually evolving towards Electronic Body Music (EBM). After KK Records discovered their tapes, the band secured a record deal. Their first album was produced by Luc Van Acker, who aimed for a more pop-oriented sound, resulting in what is known as "the blue version." Disappointed with this outcome, KK's label owner decided to produce a second version of the album, referred to as "the red version," which was crafted by the band and featured a rougher, harder sound. Following the release of further albums and singles, the band disbanded after their 10th anniversary in 1997. A reunion attempt in 2011 was unsuccessful, but in 2013, a more successful reunion took place with a different lineup, featuring René van Dijck alongside Betty Correa (vocals, guitar, percussion).
