The Four Jacks were a US vocal group hailing from Los Angeles, CA, active in the early 1950s. They recorded a series of singles for Ralph Bass' Federal Records over a ten-month period, featuring prominent female leads Shirley Haven and Cora Williams. The group included members Ellison B. White (bass), Bowling Mansfield (1st tenor), Buell Thomas (2nd tenor), and George Comfort (baritone). They backed Haven and Williams, as well as Lil Greenwood and Little Willie Littlefield on various recordings. Notable singles include "My Last Hour" b/w "Monday Morning Blues," "The Last of the Good Rockin' Men," and "Troubles of My Own," which highlighted White's powerful bass voice. Their final recording in 1952 was "Grandpa Can Boogie Too," featuring Lil Greenwood on lead.
