The Four M Company is a musical group known for their six previously unreleased Modern Soul & Funk songs recorded in 1979 at Paul Serrano’s P.S. Studio in Chicago. Their sound features lush vocal harmonies, syncopated synthesizers, and masterful arrangements. The band members on these recordings include David and Wendel Sudduth, Terri Johnson, Paul Ramey, and Duane Faulkner. David Sudduth formed The Four M Company in high school after his previous band, The Eight Minutes. Wendel, his brother, joined him, and together they performed at proms every year from 1974 to 1978 on the north and northwest sides of Chicago. Over time, approximately 35 members have been part of The Four M Company.
