**Bio: The Fu-Schnickens** The Fu-Schnickens, a Brooklyn-based hip-hop act, emerged in 1992 with their acclaimed single "Ring The Alarm," which updated a reggae tune. Their debut album, "F.U.: Don't Take It Personal," featured references to martial arts and Asian culture and included hits like "True Fuschnick," "Movie Scene," and "La Schmoove," the latter of which featured a collaboration with a notable artist, earning them a connection to a revered collective. In 1993, the group, consisting of Poc-Fu, Moc-Fu, and Chip-Fu, released the Top 40 single "What's Up Doc?" featuring NBA star Shaquille O'Neal, who regarded them as his favorite group. This track served as the lead single for Shaq's debut album. Their follow-up album, "Nervous Breakdown" (1994), included popular tracks like "Breakdown" and "Sum Dum Monkey." The Fu-Schnickens amicably disbanded in 1996 to pursue individual creative projects.
