The Gaylarks were a vocal group consisting of Ben Richards (lead), James Moore Jr. (first tenor), Bobby Davis (second tenor), Billy Vance (baritone), and Carl Lovejoy (bass). Richards, Moore, Davis, and Vance began their musical journey together in high school in San Francisco. Carl Lovejoy, hailing from nearby Oakland, played a key role in bringing the group to Music City's facilities.
