The Georgettes were a female soul group from East St. Louis, Illinois, active in the 1970s. The group featured Marsha Evans as the lead vocalist and Laurene Bennett among its members. They were part of the Young Disciples program, an initiative aimed at keeping kids off the streets, which was run at the South End Neighborhood Opportunity Center.
