The Great Society was a San Francisco psychedelic rock band active in the 1960s, specifically from 1965 to 1966. They are best known for featuring model-turned-singer Grace Slick as part of their original lineup. The band disbanded after Slick left to pursue other opportunities. The lineup included Darby Slick on guitar and backing vocals, David Miner on vocals and guitar, Jerry Slick on drums, Bard Dupont on bass and harmonica, Peter van Gelder on bass, flute, and saxophone, and Oscar Daniels on guitar.
