The Green Beans were a quartet hailing from Green Bay, Wisconsin. Originally part of at least three local bands named the Zakons (not the recorded band), they later relocated to Los Angeles and adopted the name The Green Beans. The group was led by Dick Allen, born Richard Allen Bozile on August 26, 1941, in L'anse, Michigan. He passed away on February 14, 2004, in Atheltsane, Wisconsin. Allen was also involved with other recorded bands from Wisconsin.
