The Guess Who is a Canadian rock band hailing from Winnipeg, MB. Founded in 1958, they were initially known as The Silvertones, later becoming Chad Allen and The Silvertones, and Al and the Silvertones. Their first recordings were released in 1962. In 1963, they adopted a new name, finally becoming The Guess Who in 1965. After initially breaking up in 1975, the band has experienced various reunions and reconstituted versions that have continued to tour and record ever since.
