The Gun Club was a rock band formed in 1979 in Los Angeles, California, by Brian Tristan (also known as) and others. Initially named The Creeping Ritual, the band saw early lineup changes when Don Snowden and Brad Dunning left in 1980, replaced by the rhythm section of another band. After a series of personnel shifts, including Brian Tristan's transition to guitar and the addition of new members, the group recorded their classic albums "Fire Of Love" and "Miami." Ritter departed just before the release of "Miami," leading to the band being represented as a trio on the album cover. Following his exit, a former bandmate joined to fill his role, and other members continued to change. The "Death Party" EP came from an impromptu recording session featuring various artists. Their next album, "Las Vegas Story," released in 1984, included Morrison on bass. After a period of inactivity while Pierce worked on his solo project, he revived The Gun Club in 1987, bringing in new members, including his girlfriend. The band released the critically acclaimed album "Mother Juno" that same year, followed by three more albums. A new lineup formed in 1995, but the band came to an end on March 31, 1996, due to the death of a member.
