The Haymarket Riot was a 1960s garage rock group hailing from Monroe, Michigan. Originally known as The Avengers until late 1967, the band featured a lineup consisting of Jim Doe on lead vocals, Ron Shankleton on lead guitar, Ken Lush on keyboards, Phil Rishe on bass, and Dennis Morales on drums. They released two 45s during their career: "Nine O'Clock" / "Only Yesterday" in 1968 under Coconut Groove (2040) and "Leaving" / "A Sunny Day Song" in 1969 under CLB (691).
