The Hi Boys were a prolific Jamaican Rocksteady and early Reggae backing band/studio band formed in 1967. Their name varied depending on the studio where they were recording, including associations with Randy's Productions and others. The group initially consisted of members on bass, "Seanie" on drums, and "Welby Stewart" on guitar. They gained more fame starting in 1969 with the arrival of notable musicians such as Aston "Family Man" Barrett on bass, Carlton "Carlie" Barrett on drums, Alva "Reggie" Lewis on rhythm guitar, and Lloyd Charmers on organ, piano, percussion, and vocals. The lineup was sometimes augmented by Ronnie "Bop" Williams, who played lead guitar.
