Troy Keyes is a talented musician best known for his work with the group The High Keyes, which he formed with Clifford Rice, Jimmy Williams, and Bobby Hoggard. The group achieved significant success with their debut single, "Que Sera, Sera," released by Atco in 1963, which became a top 40 pop hit in the USA and also charted in Canada, with a release in the UK on London. In addition to their own recordings, The High Keyes provided backing vocals for various artists, including Lennie O’Henry. Troy's music career faced a temporary interruption when he was drafted into the US forces, but he continued to showcase his vocal talents by winning the All Army talent contest as a solo singer. After his military service, Troy reformed The High Keyes with Jimmy Williams and new members Calvin Williams and Bubbles Moore. Under the guidance of George Kerr, they recorded their sole Verve release, "Living A Lie," in 1965, although it did not chart. Over time, this track has become a sought-after item among Northern Soul enthusiasts.
