The Holidays were a 1960s soul group hailing from Detroit, Michigan, but originally from Jackson, Mississippi. They are known for their song "I’ll Love You Forever," released in 1966, featuring lead vocals by Maurice Tony Gray. The original members included Willie “Butch” Johnson, Robert “Earl” Johnson, and Charles “Chuck” Guy. Later, the group’s name was reused for three releases recorded by various artists between 1967 and 1969, with Eddie Anderson singing lead on "Never Alone" and Leon Ware on "Love’s Creeping Up On Me." Additionally, the name was used for one release recorded by a.k.a. in 1968. In 1969, former members of the group, along with Maurice Wise and ex-Joe Billingslea, formed a new band and launched their own label.
