The Honeys, originally known as The Rovell Sisters, began their musical journey around 1958. In 1963 and 1964, they released several singles written, arranged, or produced by Brian Wilson. However, their career diminished as surfing music lost popularity. Marilyn Rovell, who was married to Brian Wilson, became the mother of Carnie and Wendy Wilson, who later achieved fame as members of Wilson Phillips. Alongside Diane Rovell, Marilyn also formed a group known as American Spring outside the US, due to another band sharing the same name.
