The Ides of March is a Chicago, Illinois-based group that originally formed in the mid-sixties as a garage band. Their sound evolved through psychedelic pop rock and blue-eyed soul. In 1968, they signed with Warner/Reprise and released several LPs that can best be described as jazz-rock over the following decade. The band members include Jim Peterik on guitar and vocals, Larry Millas on guitar, bass, and vocals, Bob Bergland on bass, sax, and vocals, Mike Borch on drums and vocals, Chuck Soumar on trumpet, percussion, and vocals, John Larson on trumpet and vocals, Dave Stahlberg on trombone, and Scott May on Hammond organ, keyboards, and vocals.
