The Illusion was an American psychedelic rock band from Long Island, New York, active from 1965 to 1972. The group consisted of several members whose names are not specified. They released three full-length albums in the U.S., with the first album also issued in the United Kingdom. All three albums were produced by Jeff Barry. The band achieved a major hit in the U.S. in 1969 with "Did You See Her Eyes," which peaked at #32 on the Billboard charts and reached #1 in some areas of New York. They also had three minor hits: "Together" (peaked at #80), "Let's Make Each Other Happy" (#98), and "How Does it Feel?" (#110). Their debut album reached #69 and remained on the Billboard album charts for 27 weeks. In 2008, their first two albums, *The Illusion* and *Together (As a Way of Life)*, were released in CD format, and the band mentioned they were working on *If It's So*.
