The Indo-British Ensemble was formed in 1969 by an indie record producer and jazz enthusiast who owned a recording studio in Soho. He brought together some of London's finest session jazz musicians along with husband and wife duo, Dev and Sitara Kumar, to create a series of fusion recordings. This collaboration led to the release of "Curried Jazz."
