The Jesters were an American vocal group active in the 1940s, known for their specialization in spoken comedy and novelty songs. The group comprised Wamp Carlson on accordion, Dwight "Red" Latham on mandocello, and Guy Bonham on standup bass, all of whom were singers, comedians, and songwriters. They initially gained recognition by performing singing commercials on the radio for shows sponsored by the Green Brothers Company, makers of Tastyeast candy bars, in 1930, under the name "Tastyeast Jesters." They later changed their name to "The Jesters" and became well-known for their novelty songs and snappy patter. The group appeared in seven films together between 1939 and 1945 and occasionally collaborated with Bing Crosby, recording as Bing Crosby and the Jesters.
