The Joykiller is a pop punk band formed in 1995, led by singer Jack Grisham, who is known for his work with T.S.O.L. The original lineup included bassist Billy Persons, drummer Chris Lagerborg, and keyboardist Ronnie King. They released three albums on Epitaph Records during the mid-1990s. Their self-titled debut album, The Joykiller, was released in 1995 and featured former T.S.O.L. guitarist Ron Emory. In 1996, guitarist Sean Greaves joined the band for their second album, By Static. By the time of their third album, Three, released in 1997, Lagerborg was replaced by Billy Blaze Price. The Joykiller disbanded in 1998 when Grisham reunited with the original members of T.S.O.L. In 2003, Epitaph released an anthology titled Ready, Sexed, Go!, which compiled tracks from all three studio albums along with previously unreleased material. In 2014, Grisham discovered a box of promising Joykiller demos and revived the group with Persons, King, Greaves, and drummer Matthew Rainwater to record the crowdfunded album Music For Break-Ups, released in 2015.
