The Kaldirons were an American soul group formed in the 1960s in Chicago, Illinois. Although they were actually named The Kelderons, they were mistakenly credited as The Kaldirons. The group consisted of members John Banks, Allen Brown, Darrow Kennedy, Ronnie Kennedy, and Carl Wolfolk. In the mid-1970s, they were commissioned to create music for a Blaxploitation film titled "Brotherman," which had the tagline: “The pusher who became a preacher.” Carl Wolfolk wrote the entire score, and the band recorded the tracks with Wolfolk contributing guitars. Unfortunately, due to producer-investor disputes that led to the film's collapse, the soundtrack was shelved, and the band returned to the club circuit. Wolfolk eventually regained the rights to the music, but it was not until 2008 that the soundtrack was released.
