The Kinks are an English rock band formed in Muswell Hill, North London, in 1963 by brothers Ray and Dave Davies, along with drummer Mick Avory. Throughout their career, they have explored various styles of rock music. Pete Quaife left The Kinks during rehearsals. The band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1990 as performers. In a June 2018 interview, Ray Davies mentioned that he, along with Dave and Avory, had reformed The Kinks for a new studio album and potential live performances. However, in March 2023, Mick Avory dispelled rumors of a reunion, citing differences between the Davies brothers.
