The Koobas, originally known as The Kubas, were formed in Liverpool in 1964. In 1965, they relocated to London and joined Tony Statton-Smith's management agency. Their journey included a trip to Hamburg, a deal with Pye Records, and a tour with The Beatles. The quartet signed with EMI in 1966, but they had disbanded by the time their self-titled album was released in 1969.
