The Lawtell Playboys are a traditional creole band from Louisiana, established in 1946 by brothers Eraste Carrière and Calvin Carrière. The current leader of the band is Goldman Thibodeaux, who is a cousin of former bandmate Calvin Carrière, the son of founder Eraste Carrière. The current line-up includes Goldman Thibodeaux on accordion and vocals, Shamus Fuller on fiddle, Courtney Fuller on guitar, Ray Deville on bass, 'Zydeco Joe' Citizen on rubboard, and Howard Noel, Jr. on drums. Former members of the band include Bébé Carrière on fiddle, Eraste Carrière on accordion, Delton Broussard on fiddle, Calvin Carrière on accordion (until 2002), Jimmy Latiolais on guitar (until 2002), Russell Deville on drums, and D'Jalma Garnier on fiddle (2002 - 2004).
