The Leather Nun is a Swedish band formed in Gothenburg in 1979. Their musical style blends garage rock, gothic rock, and sleazy pop. The band released their third album, "Nun Permanent," in 1991, but faced challenges when their record company went bankrupt, leading to their dissolution in 1995. In late 2013, they regained the rights to their back catalogue and the use of the band name 'The Leather Nun,' allowing them to record a new album and reissue early recordings on their label. The band's lineup has included Jonas Almqvist, Bengt "Aron" Aronsson, Gert Claesson, and Freddie Wadling, the original bass player.
