The Lewd is an American punk band that was formed in Seattle, WA in 1977 by J. Satz Baret after his departure from Ze Whiz Kidz, which included band member Tomato Du Plenty. In late 1979, Baret, who serves as the lead singer, along with bassist Blobbo (Kurdt Vanderhoof), relocated The Lewd to San Francisco. The band remains active with its current lineup consisting of J. Satz Baret, Bob Clic, Tony Garay, Mic Rawls, and Rob Vastano.
