The Limiñanas is a French musical duo based in Cabestany, near Perpignan, consisting of married couple Lionel (guitar) and Marie Limiñana (drums). They play a blend of garage rock, psychedelic, and pop music. The couple met in high school and formed The Limiñanas in 2008 after their previous bands, Migas Valdes and El Vicio, went on tour in America. During this time, Marie took up the drums while Lionel played guitar and other instruments. They gained attention by posting two tracks on MySpace, which led to recognition from Chicago labels HoZac Records and Trouble In Mind, and they were featured in the credits of the TV series Gossip Girl.
