The Lonesome Drifter, born on December 6, 1931, in Bastrop, Louisiana, is an American rockabilly and country musician. He has not pursued a professional music career, instead working in the steel business as an erector and welder, which took him to cities like Chicago and Kansas City. Currently, he lives quietly in Monroe, where he owns a small recording studio focused on recording gospel music artists. At the age of 88, as of September 1, 2020, he continues to sing and perform for his family during holidays, a testament to his enduring passion for music. He is recognized for his distinct guitar playing ability and is also known for creating one of the most expensive rockabilly records ever sold. His single sold for $5,000 in good condition, making it one of the most valuable in the genre, only surpassed by another record that sold for $6,000.
