The Lovelles were a musical group hailing from Tampa, FL, USA, consisting of members Zulema Rucker, Brenda Hilliard, and Albert Bailey. They began their recording career with Charles Fuller, who leased their Supremes sound-alike tracks to Brent. By 1968, they became regular performers at Atlanta’s renowned Pink Pussy Cat club, where they met producer Dave Crawford, leading to a recording session in Muscle Shoals. In the late 1960s, the trio relocated to New York, where they joined Sam & Dave's revue, touring globally under the name Faith Hope and Charity. Upon returning to New York in the early 1970s, they collaborated with producer Van McCoy, marking the start of their impressive string of hits.
