The Make-Up is an American post-punk band formed in 1995 in Washington, D.C. The band emerged from the remnants of a previous group that included members Ian Svenonius, James Canty, and Steve Gamboa. They were later joined by bassist Michelle Mae, solidifying the lineup of The Make-Up. The members of the band include Ian Svenonius on vocals, James Canty on guitar and organ, Steve Gamboa on drums, and Michelle Mae on bass guitar.
